What Animal? is a game for young children. It was built to collect nothing.
Nothing. The app does not collect, store on a server, share or sell any personal information, from children or from adults.
The game remembers which animals have been found and the sound settings. This is saved only on the device, and is removed when the app is deleted. It is never sent anywhere.
Before the Parents area or a purchase opens, the app asks a grown-up for their year of birth. The answer is checked on the device at that moment and is never saved or sent.
The app offers one optional purchase, All Worlds, behind the grown-ups' question. Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple's handling of your information is described in Apple's own privacy policy.
The app works offline. It contacts no server of ours. Its only network use is Apple's App Store, to show the price and to complete or restore a purchase.
Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. This is in line with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Apple's rules for the Kids Category.
